Social & Environmental Policy
As a New Zealand owned and operated company Bamford recognises the importance of the environment. We will soon be releasing our environmental policy that will outline some specific actions we are taking in the field of sustainability supporting our environmental vision. Our environmental vision provides a benchmark defining our approach and philosophy for environmental practice.
Bamford Environmental Vision
At Bamford we seek to find ways to meet the needs of the present, without compromising future generations. We are striving for continuous improvement in our own environmental performance by integrating environmental principles, programs and practices into every level of our daily business.
We endeavor to source products from companies overseas with policies and practices aligned with our environmental vision. We look for sustainable policies integrated into production processes starting with design through manufacturing to distribution that are best practice for tomorrow. We are not looking merely to adhere to existing environmental legislation but to go beyond minimum requirement levels and truly make a difference to the environment in which we operate.
We will also sponsor recognised New Zealand organisations in their drive for a better environment. Whilst we have not limited our focus we currently are committed to wildlife and horticulture in New Zealand to play our part towards global sustainability.
